15 WHAT'S ON WHAT'S ON TODAY Rituals for Our Safety Exhibition by Nikolas Ventourakis at Blitz, St Lucy Street, Valletta. Ventourakis is an artist in residence at Blitz, and the multidisciplinary exhibition will combine photography, projections and installation of new works created during the month-long residency. Philip Larkin: Poet of the Void Public lecture by Prof. Stephen Regan at the Faculty of Arts Library, University of Malta at 18:00. The paper will show how the English poet Philip Larkin's persistent concern with the ineffable, the surrealist, and the sublime make him much more of a philosophically complex and stylistically compelling poet than he has been given credit for. The lecture is organised by the Department of English of the University of Malta in collaboration with the British Council. Kinemastik Film Club: Planet of the Vampires Screening of the cult sci-fi horror movie by Mario Bava at The British Legion, Melita Street, Valletta at 20:00. BOOK LAUNCH MARCH 23 Malta – Land Of Sea Launch of the exhibition catalogue of Malta – Land Of Sea, an exhibition in Brussels, at The Throne Room of The Grandmaster's Palace, Valletta at 19:00. Over thirty contributors have produced essays, an extensive series of catalogue entries and contributions on the contemporary art pieces on display which together narrate the stories of Malta as territory of land and sea. The book is edited by Sandro Debono.
