maltatoday | SUNDAY • 5 AUGUST 2018 15 BUSINESS INNOVATION Welcome to the transformative age THE 14 th edition of EY's Annual At- tractiveness Event, happening on 24 October at InterContinental Malta, is fast approaching and preparations are in full swing to deliver yet anoth- er successful event. Over the years, this event has pro- gressively evolved into an annual mainstay, solidifying its reputation as one of the most anticipated focal points amongst the highest echelons of Malta's business community and the public sector. Last year, over 70 speakers from all over the world delivered their views and conversed with over 900 partici- pants. Today, the EY's Annual Attractive- ness Event event has established it- self as Malta's largest business and investment forum benchmark. This year promises to deliver yet another insightful, innovative and engaging experience. It will take the participant on a journey transcend- ing this Transformative Age which we are collectively experiencing and living on a daily basis. The aim of the event is to spark ideas and discussions centering on the massive paradigm shifts oc- curring across sectors and explore the potential to drive investment and shape the next wave of Malta's growth. This year, we are expecting over 1,000 delegates, hailing from all sec- tors and industries in Malta. Private and public stakeholders, as well as potential investors will be provided with research-based findings and conclusions on Malta's investment. The conference will be addressed by more than 70 renowned local and foreign speakers. Amongst the high-powered and influential speakers: the Prime Min- ister; the Leader of the Opposition; Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, Partner, EY Poland and former Prime Minister; Paul Brody, EY Gloal Blockchain Leader; Keith Strier, EY Global TechS Sector Digital Leader, Ameri- cas AI Leader and Mark Taverner, Global Ambassador & Markets De- velopment at Bitfury. Other leading personalities from the regulatory, financial services, banking, manufacturing, ICT, tour- ism, logistics, transport and iGam- ing sectors will also be addressing the delegates present on the day. Ronald Attard, EY Malta Managing Partner, said he was proud that, as a team, the brand managed to turn the event into the annual benchmark for debate about foreign investment and the future of the economy. "I am also particularly satisfied that our survey, its analysis, the speeches and the discussion continue to reso- nate in ever widening circles of in- terest in the country," he said. As always, enhanced networking opportunities will be another hall- mark of the event. A dedicated EY Event App will al- low delegates to connect and sched- ule meetings prior to and during the event. This year's event will be held on Wednesday, 24th October at the In- terContinental Malta between 8:00 and 16:30. The results of a survey carried out by EY amongst existing FDI compa- nies in Malta will be unveiled and the day-long event will include both plenary sessions and a range of in- teractive sectoral breakout sessions. Admission fee is €290 (incl. VAT), and includes conference refresh- ments, lunch, and a complimentary tablet. Early bird admission fee is €230 (inc. VAT) till end of mid-Sep- tember.
