JOB DESCRIPTION The ideal candidate will be required to support & coordinate large scale projects for na onal PKI systems. The PKI coordinator should have an advanced understanding of the principles of cer fi- ca on authori es, inspec on systems, electronic machine-readable travel documents, e-ID schemes, informa on security, policies, ICAO, ISO 27001 & ETSI standards. Responsibili es: Perform interoperability tes ng with respec ve EU Member States. Adhere to the Cer ficate authority polices, prac ce statements & EU regula ons. Ensure maintenance of all relevant documenta on with the solu ons provider. Monitor SLA performance of the Malta PKI Technical Service and third par es. Ini ate any excep on events such as suspending a Domes c or Foreign CA. Keeping abreast with technical and strategic developments and trends within the ICT industry and specific business area/s. Monitor technological and opera onal changes to IT systems ac vi es accordingly. Validate foreign cer ficates, and registra on form informa on. Interac ng with Member States with respect to the exchange of cer ficates. Consult with other members of project team, solu ons providers, and end users to iden fy PKI requirements and develop requirements documenta on. Analyze PKI technology industry and market trends, assess the impact of emerging security threats on the enterprise risk level, recommends technology direc on and/or adjustments to incorporate in the business plans. Contribute to the technical direc on on all areas of PKI architecture, including policies, conform- ity assessments, standards, strategies, and governance.
