The Malta Military Tattoo is a yearly event which features military bands and other el- ements which come together to provide a spectacular show for audiences of all ages. The music played combines popu- lar tunes, with the more clas- sical and are all performed in the context of a Military March parade to provide a spectacular experience for everyone to enjoy. The music chosen appeals to all ages. MUSIC AND NIGHTLIFE 15 SEPTEMBER Rockestra 2018 Celebrating its 10th year, Rockestra is back on Satur- day 15th September at MFCC in Ta' Qali. The event, which is a memorable experience every year, will feature some of Malta's best singers and performers. Tickets are avail- able in standing, seated, and even a limited number of VIP. SEPTEMBER 15- 16 Elrow Malta – Psychedelic Trip Elrow has finally arrived in Malta! The international par- ty which promises craziness and confetti will be held on the island on the 15-16 Sep- tember at UNO, Ta Qali. The event will include the likes of Dubfire, Camelphat, Toni Varga, Andrea Campo, and homegrown Carl Bee. Tick- ets can be bought on https:// w w w. t i c k e t a r e n a . c o m . m t / ticket/?event=427874 OCTOBER 3 Cliff Zammit Stevens – 10th Anniversary Concert The hugely-talented and i n t e r n a t i o n a l l y- r e n o w n e d tenor Cliff Zammit Stevens returns to Malta for his larg- est solo concert to-date, in a night of unforgettable music in celebration of the 10th an- niversary of his career. He will be joined by special guest Ira Losco. The concert will be held for one night only on 3 October 2018, in St George's Square in Valletta. The con- cert will also support The Marcy Foundation, which was launched in August this year in honour or Zammit Stevens' mother, who passed away last year. EXHIBITION SEPTEMBER 9-11 Erbatax-il Vers The Strada Stretta Concept; under the artistic direction of Giuseppe Schembri Bo- naci, under the auspices of the Valletta 2018 Foundation presents 'Erbatax-il Vers', a collective multi-media exhibi- tion and performances, under the direction of Georgemario. Erbatax-il Vers is an anthol- ogy of 100 poems penned by Alfred Grech. The anthol- ogy evolved into an initiative which strives for transforma- tion through aspiration by inspiration. The dialogues can be viewed at Splendid in an open space daily between midday and midnight till 12th September with a perfor- mance on Sunday, 9th of Sep- tember and repeated shows on the 10th and 11th September at 7:30pm. Entrance is free. 5 OCTOBER – NOVEMBER 2 Parallel Existences In his long-awaited new exhibition, celebrated pho- tographer Alex Attard cre- ates alternative identities for historical, centuries-old documents that were severely damaged during the war, and which have since formed part of the Notarial Archives in Valletta. These never seen before, mangled and distort- ed volumes have lain static, buried in boxes, out of sight, for decades – their reason for being, gone. Parallel Exist- ences will be on show at Val- letta Contemporary in Val- letta between 5 October and 2 November 2018. THEATRE SEPT 14 -23 Stitching The banned play, Stitch- ing, will finally be showing in Malta, at the Manoel Thea- tre next September. Anthony Neilson's masterpiece deal- ing with loss will be shown after it was banned for many years, hosted by Unifaun Theatre Production. SEPTEMBER 14- 16 Kazin Barokk Każin Barokk is a Valletta 2018 project and consists of a hybrid performance where visuals and music intertwine, taking extracts from "Le Jouer" by Francois Renard. This promises to be a soul- searching journey where art, people, robotics, past, present and future come to- gether to form a 'Baroque pastiche' based on local, con- temporary identities. Kazin Barokk will take place at No- tre Dame Gate Triq Il - Kot- tonera, Vittoriosa. September 28-29 Sfumat Sfumat recounts the story of Alex, in the words and actions of those around him, particulatly his father Charles, and his daugh- ter Maria. Alex never ap- pears in the play, with the audience forming their own opinion based on what the other characters reveal. The production, held at the Sale- sian Theatre, also marks ten years of the Salesian Worship Team.
