Sudden explosive noise (4) THE Assocjazzjoni Sport Mutu- ri u Karozzi (ASMK) will launch the 2018/2019 season of cars and motorcycles championships this Sunday. During this season we will see various activities in the Auto- cross, Demolition, Enduro, Mo- tocross and Trials sections and in total there will be 39 activi- ties held during the coming nine months. Sunday will see the start of the 'Honda Motocross Nation- al Championship 2018-2019' which will once again be spon- sored by Honda, represented in Malta by GasanZammit Com- pany Ltd. The first pre-championship event will be a non-champion- ship fun race where the com- petitors can evaluate their skills for the coming competitions of the season. The National Motocross Championship will be based on Class 'A' for Rid- ers who are more expert in this sport. Class 'B' is held for riders with advanced abilities while the 'Veterans Class' features riders of over 40 years of age. Class 'C' is designed for riders and enthu- siasts who are new in motocross. The first programme of the motocross season on Sunday will start at 10am with a warm- up beginning at 9am. On Sunday 28 October ASMK will be launching the Autocross National Championship. Work on the Trials Academy Project under VOPS 2018 is making good progress. Follow- ing the coaching training by the FMI Technical team under the direction of FIM-Europe, the trained coaches are going to start training students to reach basic levels in this sport during school hours. The association project team in recent weeks ap- proved the teaching framework and announced that one school had already approved the pro- gramme and it is expected to start the training as soon as the new electric bikes arrive.
