maltatoday | SUNDAY • 21 OCTOBER 2018 MOTORING & BOATING M8 THE last day of the fourth instalment of the Enemed VOOMQUEST V2 power- boat championship in Ischia saw two races taking place. The morning race commenced at 11.30am and lasted 35 minutes. Both the V2 class powerboats and the Endurance class participated - a total of 18 boats on one circuit with two Chaudron power- boats making it to the first three spots: Team Marine Diffusion placing first overall winner and Team Interceptor Remax placing third. V2 Powerboat Championship Results for the morning race: Team Marine Dif- fusion made their triumphant return to the races by securing the top spot with Team Interceptor Remax coming in at a close second whilst Team Atomic & Grey followed. Despite engine failure, Team Cutting Edge managed to restart and came in at fourth place. The weekend came to an end with a second race in the afternoon, with Team Marine Diffusion closing off the 48 hours of non-stop action with another victory and Team Cutting Edge beating the odds and grabbing second place, followed by Team Atomic & Grey and Team Inter- ceptor Remax. "This brings to an end the Enemed Voomquest V2 Powerboat Champion- ship for 2018 and in the weeks to come, we shall be announcing the 2019 cal- endar," concluded Voomquest's owner Aaron Ciantar.
