This was achieved, thanks to experience, commitment, skill and expertise. Over the past years, the in- dustry has experienced several dramatic changes, while com- petition has grown constantly. Clients' expectations have also changed with time, but MET Ltd has always stayed a step ahead of the competiton. The company includes both Flat Bed Trucks and Spectacle trucks. The campaign which encourages customers to donate silver and notes in the coin boxes in all restaurants culminates on Saturday, November 24, with a full-day programme at the Sliema restaurant. Various local celebrities will endorse the cause and join in the fun by meeting and greet- ing customers, serving guests at the counter, and collecting donations. This year's campaign re- volves around the iconic Happy Meal. McDonald's is donating a percentage of the Happy Meal's retail price to its favourite charity, the RM- HC (Malta). On November 24, every Happy Meal box will contain a special thank you note from McDonald's in appreciation of customers' generosity. The event follows on from the success of last year's McHappy Day and promises to raise even more and more proceeds. "McHappy Day is our largest fund-raising drive every year and this year we have invited personalities from TV, radio and music to join us to raise funds for a much-needed pro- ject for children in Qawra," Paul Dragan, General Man- ager of McDonald's in Malta, said. The Ronald McDonald House Charities (Malta) is currently putting the final touches to its Learning Cen- tre in Qawra which will run specialist programmes to sup- port children suffering the effects of poverty, disability or learning difficulties. The programmes aim to help chil- dren obtain the core skills and competencies that are essen- tial for their future quality of life. This major investment event, now held twice in a row at the Westin's Costa Navarino resort, brings together more than 400 people from Premier Capital's markets Estonia, Latvia, Lithu- ania, Greece, Malta and Roma- nia. Attendees of the three-day event included team leaders from Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing & Public Re- lations, HR, Legal, IT, Develop- ment, Administration, and 280 McDonald's restaurant man- agers. Jo Sempels, McDonald's Corporation's Vice-President Foundational Markets Europe, was guest of honour. Costa Navarino is one of the largest luxury resorts in Greece, offer- ing stunning sea and mountain settings for guests. Themed 'Together Towards Tomorrow', Communication Day this year underscored the business ben- efits derived from cross-market knowledge sharing and col- laboration as Premier Capital's teams work to revolutionise the McDonald's experience in its markets. Teams were encour- aged to pursue further growth by working together to develop expertise, experience and best practice in order to build a solid business across the markets. Premier Capital's business continued to grow this year, in- creasing its year-on-year growth momentum. Comparable sales and guest counts grew at a faster rate this year and currently sur- pass last year's figures by 11.1% and 5.5% respectively. All markets shared their plans for 2019, the main focus of which is to direct considerable investment and training into 'Experience of the Future', Mc- Donald's revolutionary service model. It features increased innovation, including mobile applications, high functional- ity self-ordering kiosks, table service with infra-red customer location technology, and McDe- livery. Customers already enjoy all of Experience of the Future's features in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, while other markets are seeing their rapid introduc- tion month-on-month. Cus- tomer growth and retention and enhanced service levels will continue to be key priorities for each market with wider variety, premium products and in-store modernisation. Later in the programme, at- tendees enjoyed a grand party with live entertainment and a colourful fireworks finale. "Our teams enjoyed their stay in Greece so much last year that we decided to return to Costa Navarino for a second year to hold our Communication Day," Premier Capital Manag- ing Director Victor Tedesco said. "The investment in hold- ing large-scale events like this is significant, but the return is im- measurable. In Greece, we were able to treat our teams to a lux- ury holiday setting as a way of thanking them for the remark- able results they are achieving. "It is also a unique opportu- nity to bring all our key people together so that they can update everyone on the developments around the group and for them to share their experiences. Our people bring the McDonald's experience to life in our restau- rants. We have a great future ahead of us thanks to them."
