Similar (4) THE recently formed Malta Taekwondo national team participated successfully in its first ever G-ranked competition in Romania. Coached by National coaches Gianluca Barbara and Mauro Busuttil, the team showed that all the effort, dedication and commitment to this marital art has started to pay off. G-ranked competitions are only at- tended by high-profile athletes and are considered as seeding and train- ing grounds for the World Taekwondo Grand Slam, Grand Prix, and ultimately the Olympics. Clearly, under the presi- dency of Kimberly Barbara, Taekwondo is going places. Jayden Cauchi. Francesco Cini, Jake Ebejer, Amani Faraoun, Jake Govus, Kylie Magro, David Mifsud Wismayer, Jerome Vassallo and Rory Zammit were selected from a pool of 17 national athletes. In the 'A' Class, Amani Faraoun won silver and Kylie Magro won bronze. In the 'B' Class, both David Mifsud Wismayer and Jake Ebejer placed sec- ond.
