Having an exceptionally safe track-record, 'CashlinkMALTA' is widely accepted throughout Malta and Gozo, both online and at retail outlets, making it a trusted and ideal card to those who simply need convenient ac- cess to their bank account for lo- cal use. The new branding is being ac- companied by the launch of a fresh card design depicting a view of the Cittadella in Gozo set against an artistic rendition of the iconic eight-pointed Mal- tese cross. To encourage the use of Cash- linkMALTA at local retail out- lets, Bank of Valletta will be offering reduced rates to mer- chants who accept the Card. The Bank is also opening ac- cess to the Card by offering other ePOS network operators the possibility to accept the Card on their ePOS machines, further extending local accessibility. The CashlinkMALTA card is an ideal companion card to cardholders who have one of the Bank's classic or premium Visa/ Mastercard credit cards or the 'Cashlink Visa' debit card , which are all accessible worldwide. Ivo Camilleri, Executive for Electronic Banking said the ini- tiative was one of a series of ac- tions the Bank will be taking in order to promote digital pay- ments. "This is part of the Bank's strategy to shift customers from the use of traditional cash and cheques towards easier, sim- pler, more modern and efficient methods," he said. Cards bearing the new design will start being issued from the beginning of 2019, with the en- tire initiative being implemented throughout the year. CashlinkMALTA – your ideal companion THE amount of people sub- scribing to sports channels has doubled since the introduction of the Total Sports Network (TSN), MCA figures reveal. On June 20, GO and Melita announced that they secured the rights to offer consumers an enviable amount of sports channels through their current subscriptions. The Authority welcomed and commended this move since over the years the MCA has encouraged collaboration between operators, with the ambition that they are better placed to provide more high quality content with service guarantees to the public. MCA findings reveals that the number of subscriptions with add-on sports content has dou- bled in the last three months. Whilst existing sports pack- age subscribers were promptly migrated to the TSN package, the new TSN offer has proved popular with a high uptake. New TSN subscriptions re- corded jointly by GO and Mel- ita at the end of last September increased substantially. As a result of the combined effort in the acquisition of rights by these service provid- ers, subscribers now benefit from a more competitive mar- ket with lower price tags for the sports packages. TSN packages through reg- istered communications pro- viders are attractive to clients as they are bound to quality service guarantees, which ben- efit and safeguard the rights of clients. This is in contrast to other illegitimate service pro- viders, that cannot give such assurances on android-based IPTV services. GO and Melita offer accessi- ble customer support services, thus enabling subscribers to refer any matters of urgency in an efficient manner. In cases were reported issues persist, the MCA, within its remit, as- sists customers to ensure a fair outcome to their dispute.
