19 COMMERCIAL maltatoday | SUNDAY • 23 DECEMBER 2018 Domino's in full gear for Christmas and New Year DOMINO'S are heavy into preparations for Christmas and New Year's Day. With an an- ticipated high volume of orders, Domino's Malta are ensuring that they are fully fledged to serving their customers effi- ciently during this busy period. Whilst both stores will con- tinue to operate routinely throughout the festive season, a special exception is being made to Domino's Malta em- ployees on the 25th of Decem- ber, Christmas Day and 1st of January 2019, New Year's Day. During these two days, both Domino's stores in Birkirkara and Qawra will be opening from 5pm onwards as opposed to the regular 10am opening. Domino's Malta understand that this may cause some in- convenience and wish to of- fer their sincerest apologies to their customers. The decision was taken after parent com- pany Famalco Group, renewed its commitment towards fam- ily values by offering the em- ployees of Domino's Malta the chance to spend these special days with their loved ones. Any customers wishing to en- joy delicious Domino's pizza on either of these days are encouraged to order online, phone or visit the stores after 5pm were they may still ben- efit from various festive offers. Director and Co-founder of Famalco Group Hermann Mallia remarked, "Domino's is more than just a business to us. This time of year is best spent enjoyed with family and friends. The employees of Domino's have exceeded our expecta- tions and we would like to ex- press our gratitude to them for that". On behalf of Domino's Malta, Famalco Group thanks its customers and employees who through their support saw the opening of the new Qawra Domino's store and aided in an- other successful year. Another three awards were handed to people who retired during this past year. One third of GSD employ- ees have been employed with the company for over ten years. These employees were given a token as a 'Thank you' for their hard work and dedica- tion. On hand to congratulate the hard-working employ- ees were the company's CEO Maria Micallef and Director Brian Mizzi. General Soft Drinks celebrates its employees MALTA'S new green trans- port initiative, GoTo, has been announced as an official spon- sor of popular Gozo football club, Victoria Hotspurs. With more than 1,000 mo- torists already registered with GoTo across Malta, the new- ly-launched initiative offers an increasingly popular, environ- mentally-friendly alternative to private petrol-fuelled cars. The car-sharing initiative, which is currently rolling out a fleet of 150 electric cars na- tionwide, provides easy, con- venient, and green transport for its registered users across the island, as well as desig- nated, strategically-positioned parking spaces at each desti- nation. GoTo's rapidly-growing suc- cess has now led it to become an official sponsor of one of Gozo's most historic football clubs, Victoria Hotspurs. "Victoria Hotspurs FC is extremely thankful to GoTo Malta for becoming the team's official sponsor," says Victo- ria Hotspurs President Anton Tabone. "I think this may be a first for football in Gozo, to have an international com- pany sponsoring a local foot- ball team. It is also a matter of pride for our ambitious club to be associated with such a company. We at Victoria Hot- spurs FC wish GoTo Malta all the possible success in its car sharing business venture in Malta, and we will do our ut- most to promote the service to the maximum across the Mal- tese islands." Formed in December 1948 by Antoine Mercieca, the original Victoria Hotspur was named after Mercieca's favourite football team, Tot- tenham Hotspur. This year the club celebrated its 70th anniversary, with a 2017-2018 season that saw the Victo- ria Hotspurs back as League Champions for the 12th time, and Victoria Hotspurs player Christian Mercieca winning the award for Gozo Football Player of the Year. During this season, the club's Gozo prem- ises were also refurbished to mark the occasion, and the team participated in an ex- clusive training camp in Man- chester, UK. Speaking about GoTo's deci- sion to sponsor the Club, CEO Liran Golan said: "At GoTo we are excited about connecting with local communities, and showcasing how car-sharing can be an excellent option for people hoping to reduce their reliance on car ownership. We are proud of this partnership with Victoria Hotspur, and to be supporting them as they move forward this season." GoTo to be official sponsor of Victoria Hotspurs FC
