21 COMMERCIAL maltatoday | SUNDAY • 23 DECEMBER 2018 Panta Lesco launch the new Hisense VRF range PANTA Lesco launched the new Hisense VRF range to the Maltese market during a well-attended event spanning two days. Ian Demicoli, the local brand manager from Panta Lesco, opened the event by in- troducing the international speakers and stating that "Panta Lesco is proud to have founded this relatively new partnership with Hisense VRF systems as we look for- ward to growing with Hisense added to our portfolio of well-established and reputable brands." The event moved on to introduce the Hisense Group and its growth into a wide range of market sectors, in particular its success in the air conditioning industry. This was presented by Hisense's Regional Director for East Europe, Shane Dong, fol- lowed by a strong technical focus on the Hisense VRF line-up by Tony Xu as Over- seas Technical Support Manager. Panta Lesco was proud to have also wel- comed the Global Business General Man- ager for Hisense VRF, Yi Bao who described this new partnership as "an ideal synergy between two well-established companies offering engineered solutions for VRF sys- tems with strong local aftersales support". LAST November, OZO Group became Malta's first company to successfully complete the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) ELITE two-year training programme. The certifica- tion now sees it join a 1,000-strong, Europe-wide group of companies that aims to support ambitious private businesses towards growth and investment. "We are proud to have achieved such a milestone," says Fa- bio Muscat, the CEO of OZO Group. "It's been a demanding process, but one which has continued to solidify our business, raise its profile, and give back to all our employees… We are grateful to everyone who's helped us with this achievement!" The news comes at the end of another successful year for OZO Group, which specialises in cleaning and outsourcing of personnel in several industries, including hospitality, man- ufacturing, retail, and care, to mention a few. In fact, earlier this year, the Group was selected as the 'National Winner' for the third consecutive year by the European Business Awards. As an LSEG ELITE member, OZO Group has access to nu- merous members-only privileges. On top of its comprehensive programme for founders and managers to help stimulate organisational review and change – which OZO Group has just completed – this membership also entitles OZO Group to seek advice from the ELITE com- munity on goals and change implementation, and the use of ELITE's own professional investor platform, among other re- sources. "We will be using all this to continue with our mission for 2019 and beyond, as well as to continue investing in our em- ployees across the board," Muscat concludes. OZO Group completes two-year training programme AS part of their corporate ini- tiatives, MAPFRE Middlesea support Doctors for Road Safety (D4RS) in order to aid in further enhancing road safety. D4RS is a non-prof- it organisation founded by medical doctors and medical students who strive to achieve the highest possible standards of road safety in Malta and Gozo. The NGO's mission is to place Road Safety firmly on the National Agenda by rais- ing awareness, educating peers, educating the public and advocating with relevant stakeholders. MAPFRE Middlesea spon- sored the First Responder Doctor Training course, through which attendees were provided with both the knowledge and equipment they would need in order to address any Road Traffic Ac- cidents (RTA). Under these circumstances, individuals who find themselves in such accidents may potentially benefit from receiving imme- diate medical attention by the First Responders prior to the arrival of an ambulance. During this edition of the First Responder Doctor Training, a total of 28 doctors completed the course, which was delivered by several Ac- cident and Emergency Con- sultants and Specialists who are front liners in situations of road traffic accidents with severe casualties. The course content was designed to pro- vide the medical doctors and students with the knowledge they would need in both theo- retical and practical scenari- os. Tonio Piscopo, Secretary of D4RS, remarked that on that same evening, the first use of the course was demon- strated through "an interven- tion by one of the attendees" after a quadbike accident that occurred in Paceville. MAPFRE Middlesea intends to continue to support this initiative in the future in or- der help sustain road safety within Malta and Gozo. MAPFRE Middlesea supports Doctors for Road Safety
