16 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 13 JANUARY 2019 COMMERCIAL New look for the teams at BNF Bank branches VISITORS to BNF Bank branches are being welcomed by customer facing teams sport- ing a new and attractive uni- form. The new look reflects the identity and essence of the Bank and compliments the work eth- ic of professionalism, integrity, efficiency and approachability of its employees. Created by local fashion house Cessani, the suits have been fabricated in the highest quality materials and fabrics that allow for comfort and practicality in everyday use. The azure was a natural fit with the Bank's sec- ondary pantone azure and pri- mary colour slate indigo, while the overall style exudes a har- monious, attractive, modern and contemporary image. Fashion designer for Cessani Mary Grace Pisani said: "We crafted the Bank's new uniform so that it withstands seasons and trends, while reflecting the Bank's approach of being 'fu- ture ready'. The style, colours, detail and trim are adaptable across gender, age and size, cru- cial for the employees who will ultimately be the ones to wear their suits daily. I thank BNF Bank for entrusting us with the project. I trust the employees will enjoy wearing their new clothes as much as we enjoyed creating them." Head of Corporate Services at BNF Bank, Karl Dingli said: "I express the feelings of our em- ployees when I say that we are extremely happy with our new look. This dress code gives us a chance to express our approach that is focused around giving our personal and business cli- ents a superior customer jour- ney. Our uniforms will help the Bank show a coordinated look but it will not deter us from still giving the friendly, personalised attitude we are renowned for." BNF Bank has twelve branches in strategic regions across Malta and Gozo that offer individual customers and corporate com- panies a wide range of banking products. MCDONALD'S has intro- duced Straws on Request in all restaurants nationwide, following a successful trial pe- riod at the Valletta and Naxx- ar restaurants throughout De- cember. In order to encourage cus- tomers to cut plastic straw use, regular drinks will no longer be served with a straw, unless customers ask for one. Other drinks like Milkshakes, Smoothies and Frappes will continue to be served with straws. The Straws on Request ac- tion is part of McDonald's global commitment to con- tinually improve the sus- tainability of all packaging to achieve its global goals of sourcing 100% of guest packaging from renewable, recycled, or certified sources by 2025 and to recycle guest packaging in 100% of McDon- ald's restaurants globally. "McDonald's is committed to identifying sustainable al- ternatives to plastic straws," McDonald's General Manag- er for Malta Paul Dragan said. "Malta is the latest market to introduce the McDonald's Straws on Request action. Customers have reacted very positively and we are con- fident that we will see a sig- nificant reduction in plastic straw use in our restaurants going forward." McDonald's introduces straws on request AS part of its Careers in Manufacturing campaign, the Malta Chamber's Manu- facturing Executive Board with the support of Malta Enterprise and the Educa- tion Psycho-Social Services (EPSS) section within the Ministry for Education and Employment, collaborated to organise a week-long, Ca- reer Exposure Experience for Form 4 students. As part of the Company's commit- ment to supporting its part- ners and students in offering developmental experiences, Farsons Group hosted two students from Gozo. During this week, the stu- dents were offered the op- portunity to collaborate with and experience daily work- ing life across the different operational departments, enabling them to acquire an understanding of what it would be like to be part of the manufacturing sector. More specifically, the Com- pany provided the students with an opportunity to ex- perience the different occu- pations within the industry, aiding them towards their future careers. Through our participation in such initia- tives, Farsons hopes to pro- mote the manufacturing in- dustry to which, with time, it is becoming increasingly more challenging to attract talent. Ms Mariella Galea, L & D and Performance Manager, commented, "The students were keen on their experi- ence with the company and were amazed at the size and growth of the company and were impressed to see prod- ucts that they commonly see on shelves in outlets, actu- ally being produced. We sincerely believe that work experiences are extremely beneficial to young students and serve as inspiration for their future careers." Farsons supports Career Exposure Experience
