FOLLOWING closely on the projects undertaken at Valletta Republic Street and Sliema Tower Road, the pur- pose of the Branch Trans- formation Programme is to redefine customers' experi- ence by providing a more contemporary design and technologically friendly en- vironment. Both branches are now equipped with Teller Cash Recyclers, a modern ser- vice lobby with 24/7 ac- cess to an ATM and Bulk Deposit Machine. Inter- active screens have also been installed in the Mosta Branch to assist customers when searching for prod- ucts and services. The Branch Transforma- tion Programme will con- tinue in 2019 with other offices in the APS network undergoing similar mod- ernisation to a more cus- tomer-friendly, standard- ised design. BURGER King Malta are proud to champion a No Straws Movement across all its six stores starting January 2019, as part of its effort to re- duce single use plastic within the Burger King franchise. Burger King Malta felt the need to contribute towards this initiative together with sev- eral other countries. Unless re- quested by guests, Burger King will not be giving a straw and plastic lid with drinks served for consumption within the restaurant. On the other hand, straws will be given with drinks sold for take-away due to prac- tical reasons. Burger King urges its guests to join them in this meaningful journey. Kurt Micallef, Business Man- ager of Food Chain is proud to see Burger King Malta launch this campaign. "Being one of Malta's lead- ing Quick Service Restaurant brands we felt we had to act and contribute to the devastat- ing effect plastic is having on the environment," he said. "Our customers still have the option of requesting a straw, but we are noticing that many customers are willing to join us as we come together as a team and help to contribute in saving the planet one straw at a time." Burger King is operated in Malta by Food Chain Limited, a member of the Farsons Group, with outlets in Valletta, Pace- ville, Sliema, Mosta, Qormi and Malta International Airport.
