A modern workplace initiative is un- derway, through which we are seeking to evolve the digital workspace of gov- ernment employees and create compel- ling collaboration experiences. They will be able to work from any- where, anytime using any device. Workspaces will no longer be a single location, but a network of spaces em- ployees can access. These new technologies and tools pre- sent us with many opportunities, but also with some risks that need to be managed. We are giving a lot of impor- tance to cybersecurity and investing in improving our security posture. Security is moving upstream into our processes and becoming an integral part of our work, instead of being an add-on. We are introducing a number of tools augmented with AI to improve our pro- tect, detect and respond capabilities. We are seeking ways to improve our applied research capabilities to create opportunities for nurturing talent, and to help us understand how new tech- nologies may be applied within the pub- lic sector.
