17 COMMERCIAL maltatoday | SUNDAY • 10 FEBRUARY 2019 IN January, a new MAPFRE Malta incentive scheme was launched for their network of Tied Insurance Interme- diaries (TII). The new incen- tive scheme has been imple- mented in addition to the 2019 Incentive Framework by both MAPFRE Middlesea and MAPFRE MSV Life in order to further reinforce the importance of the TII channel. This scheme will provide an additional layer of incen- tives available to intermediar- ies who perform well for both companies separately and are able to successfully cross-sell both life and non-life business. The 2019 Incentives Frame- work is a transparent incentive system comprised of Premium Targets which are designed to provide TIIs with the oppor- tunity to be rewarded for their efforts above and beyond what was previously obtainable. It has been communicated by MAPFRE Malta that the 2019 Incentive Scheme will place its focus on sustaining three crucial factors, namely Compliance, Consistency and Promoting Productivity. Due to the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD), a particular level of importance has been placed towards Compliance as to ensure that these incentives do not cause any conflicts of interest. Furthermore, Consistency and Promoting Productivity will be imperative in ensuring transparency and homogene- ity across the whole network of TIIs and that TIIs are incen- tivised to work towards higher levels of performance which yield better results and even greater rewards, respectively. The ultimate objective of this incentive is to motivate intermediaries to perform at their highest potential across both MAPFRE Middlesea and MAPFRE MSV Life, whilst simultaneously ensuring that higher sales targets as well as optimal levels of service qual- ity and customer satisfaction are achieved. MAPFRE Malta introduce new incentive scheme for tied insurance intermediaries THE Grand Master of the Military and Hospitaller Or- der of St Lazarus of Jerusalem, His Excellency the Chevalier Francisco de Borbón Graf von Hardenberg paid a courtesy visit to the President of Malta Her Excellency Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at San Anton Palace during his visit to Mal- ta. He presented Her Excellency with two framed limited edi- tion prints by one of Malta's leading contemporary artists Luciano Micallef. These will be auctioned in one of the forthcoming auctions held by Malta Community Chest Fund (MCCF). The Order of Saint La- zarus is one of the most ancient of the European orders of chivalry, dating back to the 11th century. Today, the Order is an inter- national self-governing, non- political, ecumenical body, having its own Constitution, while its membership is open to all men and women being practicing members of the Christian faith. Its international member- ship consists of Roman-Cath- olic, Anglican, Protestant, Orthodox, and other Chris- tians, upholding the princi- ples of Christianity with their lives, fortunes and honour. Its approximately five thou- sand members in 54 jurisdic- tions in 37 countries, includ- ing Malta, are dedicated to the care and assistance of the poor and the sick, including lepers, and to promote and maintain the principles of Christian chivalry.
