CAREER OPPORTUNITY Lands Authority is seeking applications from interested persons to fill the following position: Senior Professional Officer – Senior Technical Officer - ICT Jobplus Permit Number – 212/2019 MAIN JOB PURPOSE Responsible to oversee the day to day running of the Computers, Telephone Network Infrastructure and Network Services and to ensure that they function smoothly. The job holder will be supervising the available resources (human, material and systems) in the diagnosing, maintaining and repairing, digital equipment and/ or any ICT related hardware pertaining to Lands Authority related parties and reporting status and analysis. QUALIFICATIONS A recognised Diploma in ICT studies equivalent to MQF Level 5 from a recognised institution and a good level of general education Knowledge of ICT related applications and experience is a must. EXPERIENCE Demonstrated knowledge of Windows software and desktop products. Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users. Demonstrated ability to administer a 500+ node network. Demonstrated ability to support networked printers and photocopiers. Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies. Have a basic knowledge on configuring and administering Network Routers and Switches. Basic background in most of the areas within this job especially TCP/IP, sub-netting and VLANs in a routed networks environment. Experience on TCP/IP and related diagnostic tools are a must. SKILLS Knowledgeable about the operations/business of the Lands Authority. Ability to represent the organization well, becoming fully knowledgeable about the organisation and able to interpret it to others OTHER ATTRIBUTES (IF APPLICABLE) DESIRABLE The prospective jobholder is expected to be a highly energetic individual who shall display high levels of initiative and thorough preparation and will also be an excellent communicator. He / She shall demonstrate excellent time skills and be able to work on a tight schedule and deadlines, as well as, to be a strong team player.
