Visitors may enjoy a re- duced admission to visit the fort and the new exhibition 'Behind Closed Doors', while gaining the opportunity to view the traditional Regatta from the most strategic platform in the Grand Harbour. Special tours at the upper part of Fort St Angelo will also be available. Born to be bold and invincible, Fort St Angelo was constructed on a hillock, at the end of the Birgu peninsula to dominate the Grand Harbour. Today, this historical military building offers unobstructed pano- ramic views of the Grand Harbour and the surrounding towns and villages. The place is ideal to view the Regatta; a traditional rowing event that has been held in Malta since the Middle Ages. Traditional Maltese boats such as the 'frejgatini', 'ka- jjikki', 'dgħajjes tal-pass' and 'tal-midalji' participate in this event. The visit at Fort St Angelo will be further enhanced with Heritage Malta's latest ex- hibition 'Behind Closed Doors'. This ex- hibition, which will remain open until the 8th September 2019, is revealing intriguing narratives that took place at this military site during its occupation by the Royal Na- vy between 1906 and 1979. On this Sunday, admission to Fort St Angelo, the Regatta and the exhibition is reduced to €2. Mem- bers of Heritage Malta enter for free. For this occasion, the upper part of Fort St Angelo which is managed by the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, will also be open to the public. Tours start at 11am, noon and at 1pm. Tickets at €5 for adults, €3 for seniors and students, and €1.50 for children. Reduced admission to view Regatta from Fort St Angelo The traditional Regatta has been held since the Middle Ages
