Other Attributes (if applicable) An afternoon of glorious sunshine greeted the spectators who turned up in big numbers to watch the Singles and Doubles Finals of the MAPFRE MSV Life Marsa Open, organised by the Mar- sa Sports Club Tennis Section. The tournament was a huge success and the finals included 5 National team players plus a very strong player from the Czech Republic. Local tennis legend, Matthew Asciak, won the Singles event 6-3 6-1 against Daniel Vrba, whilst the Doubles was another success for Matthew Asciak, who teamed up with fellow National team player Omar Sudzuka. They beat another 2 National team players, Denzil Agius and Matthew Cassar Torreggiani 6-1 6-2. Trophies and prize money were pre- sented by Mr. Michael Galea, Chief Officer Business Development, MAP- FRE MSV Life p.l.c and Malta Tennis Federation President, Dr. David Farru- gia Sacco, in the presence of the Marsa Sports Club Tennis Section Chairman, Godwin Borg, and tournament director Jevon Dimech.
