KURT SANSONE A new construction watchdog proposed last year is nowhere near being set up as government is still analysing the feedback from a public consultation exercise. Regulation of construction sites remains fragmented, leaving resi- dents with no focal point to report abuse and different enforcement agencies passing the buck between them. This had to change with the creation of a new building and construction authority, proposed in a White Paper released last Sep- tember. But eight months later the process has gone no further. A spokesperson for the Infra- structure Ministry told MaltaTo- day that "the results of the public consultation process are currently being finalised". She said that the necessary actions to set up the authority will be taken thereafter. The blog posts, which consisted mainly of photos, were published on the late journalist's blog between 2010 and 2016. Judge Anthony El- lul said the posts were "gossip" and unrelated to Pullicino Orlando's public role. He ruled that the court had "no doubt that [these particular posts about Pullicino Orlando] are nothing more than gossip that interests those with nothing better to do and who have a thirst for news about people's private lives".
