The sister duo, made up of Bettina and Philippa Cassar, will not only be composing the show but di- recting and performing in this one-of a kind outdoor musical at Fort St Elmo's Piazza d'Armi on 7, 8, 9,14,15 and 16 June in Valletta. The trio will take us on a tour of Alexandra's musical jour- ney to date, going back to 2013 with her debut EP, 'The Curi- ous Child' to her most recent release, 'Wild Honey' (2018) which was recorded at Rock- town Studios in the Nether- lands. This year held on 30 May – 2 June, it will feature 5 music ar- eas and around 120 acts from around the World with an ec- lectic music fusion of World Music, Ska, Funk, Blues, Reg- gae, Alternative Rock, Dub, Hip-Hop, Psychedelic Trance, Techno, House, Electro, Drum 'n' Bass and more. Tickets are available from www.kultura.mt Exhibitions UNTIL MAY 26 Julinu's Radioactive Ravioli Award-winning artist-il- lustrator Julian Mallia, also known as Julinu, will soon present his first solo paint- ing exhibition that promises to offer alternative visual interpretations of familiar notions and elements from pop culture.The exhibition, named Julinu's Radioactive Ravioli, features a collection of 17 realistically-executed oil paintings, which utilise the artist's signature graphic wit, atmospheric surrealism and meticulously-executed visual ideas to present a dif- ferent take on reality. Curated by Justine Balzan Demajo and Francois Zammit, Julinu's Radioactive Ravioli is sup- ported by a Malta Arts Fund Project Support Grant from Arts Council Malta and by Vee Gee Bee Art, San Gwann. It is targeted at anyone aged 16 and above and will be ex- hibited at Spazju Kreattiv in Valletta from Friday 26 April until Sunday 26 May, with en- trance free of charge. UNTIL SUNDAY 2ND JUNE Exquisite Corpse- I loved you more Maree Azzopardi's new works continue the artist's ongoing engagement with themes of the human body, religious symbolism, and the polarities of earth and water. Her photographs act as me- morials for the people or plac- es they remember and record. They include personal memo- ries and family narrative and the works explore themes of loss, retrieval, commemora- tion and bearing witness. For the first time, the artist has printed photographs onto linen. These works harness the symbolic power of linen in Catholic ritual and iconog- raphy, especially altar cloths and the practice of shrouding the dead.
