Jenny is taking you on a culinary adventure, exploring the diverse dishes of Morocco and showing you how to recreate authentic-tasting, fresh Moroccan meals at home. In these two episodes, she visits a small city called Ouarzazate and an epic landscape that attracts movie-makers from all over the world. MONDAY Earthstorm (2006) 6.30pm on AMC Channel (Channel 312) Earthstorm opens with an interstellar catastrophe. A massive asteroid slams into the moon, dramatically altering the Earth's ocean tides and triggering sweeping storms. At closer glance, however, scientists learn that the moon's structure is now entirely unstable and that large chunks of it will soon fly off and hit the Earth, damaging all life on that planet. With no other answer in sight, scientists solicit the help of a demolitions man (Stephen Baldwin), who promises to devise a workable solution. TUESDAY 300 (2006) 9.26pm on Italia 1 (Channel 155) In 480 B.C. a state of war exists between Persia, led by King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Greece. At the Battle of Thermopylae, Leonidas (Gerard Butler), king of the Greek city state of Sparta, leads his badly outnumbered warriors against the massive Persian army. Though certain death awaits the Spartans, their sacrifice inspires all of Greece to unite against their common enemy. WEDNESDAY Blowing Up History [Documentary] 9pm on Discovery Science (Channel 402) How were the most iconic and historic buildings of the ancient and medieval worlds built? This documentary series uses stunning 'blow apart' CGI animation to reveal how these incredible structures were constructed. Using details from the latest archaeological investigations combined with X-Ray and LiDar scanning technologies, the series reveals fresh insights into the myths and mysteries behind ancient civilizations and the iconic megastructures they built. From how ancient Egyptians built the giant obelisks of Thebes to the dark secrets and rituals of the mysterious people who built the world's largest stone circle, this series explores the mysteries of ancient and modern wonders, as investigators work to both preserve and understand these iconic monuments. THURSDAY Weird or What: Human Popsicle [Documentary] 8.10pm on Discovery Science (Channel 402) In Weird or What? Discovery Science investigate all that is mysterious and weird in the world and ask – Is it really inexplicable? Or can we find a logical, scientific explanation? Each story will contain a remarkable and real personal story where we meet actual people who experience the bizarre, mysterious and unexplainable. Using impressive experiments and expert opinion, Weird or What? will test different theories, rule out those that do not stand up and attempt to recreate mysterious events in the laboratory to corroborate the theories that we are left with. At the end of each investigation there is always a conclusion. In many cases science provides a definitive explanation. In others, there is a strongest contender theory that is not completely proven. Sometimes, we just have to hold our hands up and accept that there is no explanation – it is just weird! FRIDAY Ultimate Pools – 2 back- to-back Episodes [Travel/ Adventure] 9pm on Travel Channel (Channel 410) Taking a dip in a pool is a refreshing way to cool off on a hot day. Most pools are basic and rectangular or circular in shape with few embellishments. Then there are the pools featured on this show, which are anything but basic. Take a peek at some of the most extravagant pools money can buy, from one that allows you to float above the lights of downtown Denver to another that allows its owner to swim through a private aquarium. Whatever they look like, the extravagant pools allow their designers to bring their most imaginative ideas to life. SATURDAY Dark Angel (1990) [Film] 8.45pm on AMC Channel (Channel 312) Renegade cop Jack Caine (Dolph Lundgren) is intent on snuffing out a dangerous gang of drug traffickers known as the "White Boys."
