20 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 26 MAY 2019 COMMERCIAL MAIN Street Complex p.l.c. held its first Annual General Meeting since its 2018 IPO, on Friday 17 May 2019. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Joseph A. Gasan, who presented an overview of the company's perfor- mance and financial results during 2018. The board confirmed that all the profits for the year were being dis- tributed as dividends, as had been indicated in the prospectus dated 23 April 2018. During his statement, Gasan highlighted the positive performance of the Main Street Complex with record level of foot- fall following the comple- tion of the Pjazza Antoine De Paule renovation pro- ject. Gasan said the company looks forward to attain- ing 100% occupancy for the mall shortly, with the opening of a new store in June 2019. Shareholders were asked to vote on three resolu- tions. These included the approval of the Audited Fi- nancial Statements of the Company for the financial year ending 31 December 2018 together with the Di- rectors' and Auditors' re- port, the final net dividend of €190,163 (or €0.00981 per share), and the ap- pointment of Pricewater- houseCoopers as auditors of the Company. The three resolutions were approved unanimously. The shareholders re-ap- pointed all members of the board until the next AGM. The board members are Joseph A. Gasan, Mario Camilleri, Etienne Borg Cardona, Christopher Mifsud and Isabella Vella. Main Street Complex p.l.c.'s AGM NESCAFÉ 3in1, the title spon- sor of LifeCycle Challenge 2019, offered the public the chance to get a taste of what the LifeCycle participants experience at the gruelling challenges organised annually in aid of renal patients in Malta. Held at University of Malta Msida Campus and in Valletta, the activity raised a generous sum of €1,142. Three professional bikes, which have been used on past LifeCycle Challenges to Zam- bia, Tanzania and Oman, were set up at Nescafé stand. Par- ticipants were able to cycle on a static bike for few minutes in return for a donation. Nescafé 3in1 coffee was offered during the event. LifeCycle Founder Alan Cur- ry thanked all those who took part, and the sponsor Nescafé 3in1 for making this another great event at raising money and awareness to help improve facilities for renal patients.
