Music JULY 9 Dream Theater Rock 'N Malta presents pro- gressive metal pioneers Dream Theater promising a unique, complex yet melodic, hard yet emotional brand of rock which is as sweet on the heart as it is crushing on the bones. Fans can expect a startlingly sublime syn- thesis of soaring and unmistak- able melodies and the virtuoso guitar playing of John Petrucci in a live performance that is big, long and diverse as only Dream Theater can make it. JULY 18 Liam Gallagher Live in Malta If you had to make an equation of all the elements that made the early Oasis singles so apoca- lyptically good - i.e. huge waves of guitar hooks + melody you can't shake for…ever + thun- derous rhythm + LIAM GAL- LAGHER'S VOICE delivering an unbelievably catchy chorus - then Wall Of Glass fits in the lineage perfectly. It's hard to recall a time he's sung better - it's like hearing him for the first time again, the same yearning menace that claimed a million hearts by the end of Superson- ic's first chorus. His voice is def- initely on point.
