maltatoday | SUNDAY • 14 JULY 2019 17 COMMERCIAL AS part of its sponsorship of the 'Music in Malta – from Prehistory to Vinyl' project, Atlas Insurance organised a tour for its employees at the exhibition which was held at the Mdina Cathedral Museum. Held recently, the Music in Malta project highlighted the wealth of musical instruments and sounds associated with the Maltese culture, their de- velopment locally and within the Mediterranean, and the influences that have helped to shape them. The project, spearheaded by Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti included a number of music perfor- mances, talks, exhibitions and workshops. During the visit, Atlas Insur- ance employees were given an introduction to the project, after which they were able to enjoy the exhibition at their leisure. This exhibition was guest-curated by Anna Borg Cardona, one of the leading authorities in Malta's national music history and traditional musical instruments. "Atlas is proud to have sup- ported Fondazzjoni Patrimon- ju Malti in this fascinating and informative project, which shone a light on our musical heritage, and gave the public the opportunity to view and learn about facets of our histo- ry which are less well-known," said Jackie Attard Montalto, Marketing and HR Manager of Atlas Group. Debono brings a wealth of banking ex- perience to the Bank, having occupied various senior roles within the financial services in- dustry for over 20 years. In his new role, Debono will be re- sponsible for the management of BNF's Commercial Banking Department, Business Devel- opment Department, Treas- ury and International Banking Unit. Prior to this latest appoint- ment, Debono held senior management roles within HS- BC's personal banking, risk, and commercial banking areas. In 2010, Debono was entrusted with the establishment and management of HSBC Malta's first Premier Centre and sub- sequently he also headed the Bank's International Banking Unit, Mid-Market Enterprises and Corporate Real Estate and Hotels.
