maltatoday | SUNDAY • 4 AUGUST 2019 21 COMMERCIAL THE Nescafé 3in1 LifeCycle Challenge 2019 will take the 27 cyclists through three incred- ibly beautiful Asian countries – Vietnam, Laos and Cam- bodia. Sponsored by Nestlé's signature brand Nescafé 3in1 for two consecutive years, the Challenge will take place be- tween 12th and 21st Septem- ber. The cyclists and support team will fly from Malta on 9th September and land back on 24th September 2019. This was announced by Life- Cycle Founder of 21 years Alan Curry during a press con- ference held at Nestlé Head Office in the presence of The Minister for Economy, Invest- ment and Small Businesses Christian Cardona, Nestlé Country Manager Giuliana Isolani, and Nestlé Marketing and Corporate Communica- tions Manager Alfred J. Borg. "Simply called "Nescafé 3in1 LifeCycle Challenge" owing to the three South East Asian countries we are visiting; the cyclists will travel almost 2,000km in 10 days," said Alan Curry. "The landscape in Vi- etnam is of rich vegetation and long climbs while in Laos and Cambodia we will see long distances through remote vil- lages, following the Mekong Delta. The finish is at one of the world's greatest wonders, the iconic Angkor Wat. The temperature is expected to be 30 degrees plus, with humidity levels over 90%. Sleeping will be in tents. When we use the word "Challenge", we really mean daring... and certainly not for the faint-hearted." Nestlé Country Manager Giuliana Isolani presented Nescafé 3in1 contribution, a cheque of €35,000, with €25,000 of this amount go- ing towards a new research programme in kidney disease at the University of Malta, and €10,000 towards Renal Unit Support Health Hub (R.U.S.H.). Isolani said: "Being associated with such a dynam- ic organisation, we appreciate not only the balance in life through sports, but also the contribution which sports can give to society and especially those in need. We, at Nestlé, are fully con- vinced of the supporting role that our most loved coffee brand by the Maltese popu- lation, Nescafé, could have in achieving goals for a good cause. May this be only the start of a long journey togeth- er." LifeCycle (Malta) Founda- tion, the only NGO that raises money to support patients suffering from kidney failure, covers three principle areas: awareness, treatment and research. To achieve these goals, the Foundation works hand in hand with the medi- cal staff at the Renal Unit of Mater Dei Hospital and the University of Malta Research Trust (RIDT). For the past twenty years, LifeCycle has supported the needs of kidney disease pa- tients and their families, as well furthering awareness on organ transplants in Malta in collaboration with the Trans- plant Support Group. Last November, LifeCycle Founda- tion set up a new project called R.U.S.H. to offer a compre- hensive support network for patients. The money collected each year from various businesses and individuals go towards the needs of kidney disease pa- tients at the Renal Unit. This includes the yearly support for "Traccia" software which facil- itates the procedure of finding the right match for renal pa- tient compatible with a kidney donor. In addition, LifeCycle - R.U.S.H. is paying for psycho- logical support to almost 300 kidney patients and kidney do- nors, talks on health and nutri- tion, as well as offering free fit- ness sessions to renal patients undergoing dialysis treatment. 19 Details of Nescafé 3in1 LifeCycle Challenge 2019 revealed A new interview series of programmes sponsored by RE/MAX Malta is set to spearhead honest conversation about the real estate market across the Maltese islands. The Real Estate Conversation series will be hosted by RE/MAX Malta COO Jeffrey Buttigieg and will feature several leading experts from within the local real estate world as they answer frequently asked questions, offer their opinions on the market, and provide industry in- sights. "The scope behind the Real Estate Conversations is to give a candid view on the real estate market, and to provide the community with a straight-talking platform where they can interact," Butti- gieg explains. "We want to offer a place where honest conversations about the sector can happen, with information for those in the industry, as well as for those buying or renting property locally." The main aim of the new platform is to improve the reputation of real es- tate agents in general; not just in the opinion of the general public, but also to provide educational material for real estate agents working in Malta. Buttigieg continued by saying, "It is true that we only hear about the bad things related to real estate agents' behaviour and, un- fortunately, the whole industry gets tar- nished by a few cowboys. Today, many companies invest heavily in training and onboarding agents, however this has not served to be enough to convince the overall population that real estate can be a professional career with certain com- panies." The innovative series will cover a vari- ety of topics related to Malta's real estate market, including why to join the indus- try, the role of education in real estate, why to consider buying a second home, Gozo as an investment and what to ex- pect in the market's short- and long- term future. Complementing the Real Estate Con- versation recorded interviews, viewers will also discover a wide selection of content designed to engage with the au- dience through opinion polls, as well as statistics about the sector, and opinions from within the industry. The Real Estate Conversation video podcast interviews and associated con- tent will be premiered on Facebook, and will then be available for free online on a number of platforms, including Youtube, Instagram, its own dedicated website www.realestateconversation.eu, which was launched this week. The pod- cast version is also available on iTunes, Spotify, Sticher and Radio Public. New video podcast seeks to spark honest conversation about real estate
