17 COMMERCIAL maltatoday | WEDNESDAY • 7 AUGUST 2019 THE ŻiguŻajg Season, a brand new programme of events for children and their families taking place all year round, certainly brings to mind the enthusiasm generated for the news of the children and young people arts Festival launched way back in 2011. A collaboration with Spazju Kreattiv, the Season is the re- sult of an increased need for regular activities taking place throughout the year that cater for the 0-12 age bracket. The ŻiguŻajg Season will in fact further develop what good is created by the Festival by bringing audiences closer to live performances and in- stil in them an appreciation of arts and culture. It will also offer creatives increased opportunities and a professional framework where to develop new work and engage in their practices throughout the year. With over 100 activities var- ying from film to storytelling, dance to puppetry, and multi- sensory arts to music work- shops, the ŻiguŻajg Season aims to provide the youngest with a highly diverse interac- tive arts experience. Add to the mix a series of entertaining events developed in partnership with the Malta Chamber of Scientists that will champion the close links between science, technology, engineering, mathematics, with activities for all the fam- ily. Whilst ŻiguŻajg Season will see the development of new productions by some of the foremost artists in the field, it will nonetheless build up- on the successful legacy of ŻiguŻajg Festival. In fact, a selection of past Festival commissions that are known to have gone down well with audiences will be making a comeback this sea- son. This has been confirmed by Daniel Azzopardi, ŻiguŻajg Festival Director & Spazju Kreattiv Programme Manag- er: "Whilst ŻiguŻajg Festival will continue to serve as an annual showcase, the Season will be the platform for artists to develop their skills and for audiences to be entertained all year round to what best the sector has to offer. This ven- ture is part of our continued aim to nurture appreciation in the arts through the pro- duction of highly diverse and quality-driven initiatives." Everyone is encouraged to book early in order to avoid disappointment, whilst those interested in attending a se- ries of events throughout the year can benefit from multi- ple discount packages. Group rates and school bookings are also available, whilst culture pass eligible performances will be an- nounced later on. Ziguzajg season launch A new interview series of programmes sponsored by RE/MAX Malta is set to spearhead honest conversation about the real estate market across the Mal- tese islands. The Real Estate Conversation series will be hosted by RE/MAX Malta COO Jeffrey Buttigieg and will feature sev- eral leading experts from within the local real estate world as they answer frequently asked questions, offer their opinions on the market, and provide industry insights. "The scope behind the Real Estate Conversations is to give a candid view on the real estate market, and to pro- vide the community with a straight- talking platform where they can inter- act," Buttigieg said. "We want to offer a place where hon- est conversations about the sector can happen, with information for those in the industry, as well as for those buying or renting property locally." The main aim of the new platform is to improve the reputation of real es- tate agents in general; not just in the opinion of the general public, but also to provide educational material for real estate agents working in Malta. "It is true that we only hear about the bad things related to real estate agents' behaviour and, unfortunately, the whole industry gets tarnished by a few cowboys," Buttigieg said. "Today, many company's invest heav- ily in training and onboarding agents, however this has not served to be enough to convince the overall popu- lation that real estate can be a profes- sional career with certain companies." The innovative series will cover a va- riety of topics related to Malta's real estate market, including why to join the industry, the role of education in real estate, why to consider buying a second home, Gozo as an investment and what to expect in the market's short- and long-term future. Complementing the Real Estate Con- versation recorded interviews, viewers will also discover a wide selection of content designed to engage with the audience through opinion polls, as well as statistics about the sector, and opin- ions from within the industry. The Real Estate Conversation video podcast interviews and associated content will be premiered on Face- book, and will then be available for free online on a number of platforms, including Youtube, Instagram, its own dedicated website www.realestatecon- versation.eu, which was launched this week. The podcast version is also available on iTunes, Spotify, Sticher and Radio Public. New video podcast seeks to spark honest debateabout real estate in Malta
