maltatoday | SUNDAY • 8 SEPTEMBER 2019 21 COMMERCIAL 19 SINCE the Express Trailers Training Academy was launched last year, 35 training sessions have been delivered which saw over 250 employees at Express Trailers obtaining professional certification in a variety of sub- jects such as Incoterms and Transport Documentation, Cy- ber Security, Technical Training and other subjects. To further support the Train- ing Academy, Express Trail- ers has now completed The LOGIC Learning Centre, a new state-of-the-art learning centre to offer all employees contin- ued training for them to be- come professionals in their re- spective fields and for them to remain abreast with the latest developments in the transport and logistics market. Located within Express Trail- ers' premises, The LOGIC Learning Centre represents substantial investment in two interjoined but dividable halls, three mini-lecture rooms which will also serve as meet- ing rooms, all with state-of- the-art sound engineering and multi-media video and tel- econference equipment. Speaking about this invest- ment, Franco Azzopardi, Chairman and CEO of Express Trailers explained how this new training centre will also be open to the company's cli- ents and other parties who are interested to learn more about the intricate world of logistics and commerce both as a fu- ture business prospect and also from a career perspective. "Our people drive our busi- ness by optimising equipment, space, distance and time. They bring their experience to ad- dress all the logistics risks in- volved. To keep delivering our hallmark premium quality ser- vice, they need to keep getting the best training," said Franco Azzopardi, Chairman and CEO of Express Trailers. "We are investing substan- tially in this learning centre and in the training academy so our people will have all the op- portunities where to clash the minds and become inspired and energized to be better in what they do, to serve our cli- ents better. People will connect at The Logic. It is where Ex- press Trailers' 'Excellence, Ex- perience and Expertise' maxim finds its tangible fruition," add- ed Franco Azzopardi. "Our employees are not just employees. When they start working with us, they become experts and professionals in their work and on many occa- sions, they are the ones passing on their acquired knowledge and experience to newer em- ployees. In fact, more hands- on training on the job and formal training by experienced employees is being planned from this coming September. Ongoing training, sharing of experience and a persuasive at- titude towards working safely form our #WeAreOrange cul- ture and love mark," concluded Franco Azzopardi.
