Certified Male was penned by award-win- ning Australian writers and performers Scott Rankin and Glynn Nicholas. For its Mal- ta debut, Certified Male will be co-directed by Nicholas himself alongside local thea- tre veteran Nanette Brim- mer, and will star renowned performers Alan Montanaro, Alan Paris, Joseph Zammit and Stephen Oliver. Certi- fied Male is being performed at the Teatru Salesjan, Sliema on 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 October 2019. 18 SEPTEMBER Magnificent-Chinese Acrobatic Performance The China Cultural Centre will be celebrating the Moon Festival by inviting the highly renowned Guangxi Acrobatic Troupe to perform at Pjazza Teatru Rjal on Wednesday, 18th September at 20.30hrs. The Moon Festival is China's second most anticipated fes- tival and is determined by astronomical observations of the sun's longitude and the moon's phases. Owing to the moon's symbolic whole- ness, the mid-autumn festi- val is widely associated with sentimental connotations of unit y, reunion and the trans- mission of affection through the far-reaching moonlight to loved ones living abroad. he Magnificent – Chinese Acrobatic Show will be held at the Pjazza Teatru Rjal, on Wednesday 18 September at 8.30pm. Join an adventure amidst the wonderful, natural headland between Golden Bay and Riviera for a week-long festival! Music, conscious workshops, art, healthy food, camping, kids activities & nature are all on the menu with an intention to instill positive change within our communities here in Malta & around the world. To buy tickets go to https://thebubble.com.mt. 20-22 SEPTEMBER Oktoberfest Malta 2019 September 2019 will welcome an authentic experience to Malta for the first edition of the Oktoberfest Malta; showcasing an incredibly large amount of beer brands under one roof! Expect more than 150 types of authentic beers from the most revered and respected breweries across Germany, Europe and of course Malta. Malta's largest brewers and beer importers will welcome you with creamy, bubbly and gentle beer while please you with must-have merchandise and gifts. The event will continue to be enhanced with Malta's top craft beer importers and brewers. Local bands will be leading the frivolities and celebrations with the best traditional entertainment and mainstream music. The Malta Oktoberfest will be held between Friday 20th and Saturday 21st September from 6pm onwards and a full day from 4pm onwards on Sunday 22nd September 2019. Music 20-22 SEPTEMBER Malta Military Tattoo The Malta Military Tattoo 2019 will be held between the 20th and 22nd of September 2019 at St George's Square, Valletta. The Malta Military Tattoo, is a yearly event which features military bands and other elements which come together to provide a spec- tacular show for audiences of all ages. The music played combines popular tunes, with the more classical and are all performed in the context of a Military March parade to provide a spectacular expe- rience for everyone to enjoy. The display starts at 7pm. 19 SEPTEMBER 2019 Steve Hili and James Ryder live For a one-off comedy spec- tacular, head over to the Step Down bar and enjoy stand-up comedy with badass James Ryder and fresh from his UK tour, the phenomenon that is Steve Hili. They will be sup- ported by Malta's finest rising talent: Sandra Gauci, Tanya Phillips, Theo Navarro, Erim Bilgin and Brandon Calleja Shaw hosted by Dom Tabone.
