MASSIMO COSTA THE decision to censor Moviment Graffitti activists wearing masks de- picting Ian Borg was "stupid", the Prime Minister said. Joseph Muscat, noting that the Uni- versity enjoyed complete autonomy, insisted that his government was against any kind of censorship. Muscat, who was fielding questions from journalists on the back of a visit to the University on Tuesday dur- ing Freshers' Week, said freedom of expression was an integral part of an institution of higher education. He was reacting to an incident on Monday, when students from Graf- fitti, who were going around campus wearing masks depicting the Trans- port Minister, were approached by security, who confiscated their masks, saying it was not allowed to stir political contro- versy during Freshers' Week.
