Following the success of her first recital last April, Julia Miller will be playing Maurice Ravel's Sonatine, and selected works from Polish composers Witold Lutoslawski, Frederick Chopin and Karol Szymanow- ski. For bookings, kindly send an email to juliamillerpianist@ gmail.com. 14 NOVEMBER Operetta Highlights Bulgarian-born soprano An- driana Yordanova will grace the Refectory at Palazzo Falson to sing vivacious excerpts from some of the well-loved operettas that are entertaining, satirical and witty. She will be singing delightful arias from the fa- mous operettas 'Giuditta' 'The Merry Widow' and 'Paganini' all written by the composer Franz Lehár and other wonder- ful songs by celebrated compos- ers such as Richard Straus and Robert Stolz, amongst others. Andriana Yordanova will be accompanied by cellist Lucie Kucharova and violinist Philipp Orlov. The recital will be held on Thursday 14th November at 6.30pm. Entrance to the concert is at a suggested dona- tion of 10 euro and patrons are invited to visit the museum at a discounted price. Certified Male was penned by award-win- ning Australian writers and performers Scott Rankin and Glynn Nicholas. For its Malta debut, Certified Male will be co-directed by Nicholas him- self alongside local theatre veteran Nanette Brimmer, and will star renowned performers Alan Montanaro, Alan Paris, Joseph Zammit and Stephen Oliver.
