Blexr's win comes after a year of strong performance in its casino-focused portfo- lio, and having undertaken a series of corporate social re- sponsibility events which has seen the company's staff vol- unteer in community projects and raise around €10,000 for Maltese charities over the past few months. Blexr wins best Casino Affiliate prize at EGR Awards IOANNIS Ioannou, Associate Profes- sor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School, has been an- nounced as the keynote speaker at the next APS Talk. e event co-organised with PwC Mal- ta is taking place on 14 November at the Westin Dragonara Resort, as part of the Malta Sustainability Forum. Ioannou will discuss the emergence of the 'sustainable organisation'; a new type of the modern business organisation that genuinely and effectively integrates environmental and social issues into its business model, strategy, organisational structure and conduct. Known as a global influencer on sus- tainability leadership and corporate responsibility, Prof Ioannou will focus his talk on the challenges and opportu- nities that a transition to sustainability leadership generates for companies and investors. Based on rigorous academic evidence regarding the significant long- term outperformance of this type of or- ganisation compared to the traditional corporate form, both in terms of operat- ing as well as stock market performance, Prof Ioannou will discuss the fundamen- tal innovations that are needed in order for an organisation to become a sustain- able one. "I will also discuss the links between corporate sustainability and capital mar- kets, as they pertain to investment ana- lyst recommendations and, more broad- ly, as they relate to the realisation of value in public equity markets through a commitment to sustainability," Prof Io- annou said. He said he was thrilled to find out about the upcoming first-of-its-kind Malta Sustainability Forum, and to be in- vited to be part of it. "Raising awareness about sustainability is critical, especially given the current rate and magnitude of change towards a sustainable future is insufficient," the Professor continues. "It is important to carry this message across all corners of the world and to all stakeholders, including companies, gov- ernments, NGOs and citizens.
