Inspector Keith Arnaud was testifying in the constitutional case filed by Fenech to have the inspector removed from the case. Arnaud was asnwering a question by the judge as to whether the police's suspicion in Fenech was brought up during the meetings in Castille. The inspector described the meetings in Cas- tille as "mostly operational". The meetings would include Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, chief of staff Keith Schembri, the Attorney General and on one or two occasions, Justice Minister Owen Bonnici. Judge Lawrence Mintoff is presiding in the constitutional proceedings filed by murder sus- pect Yorgen Fenech. Fenech had filed the pro- ceedings in an attempt to remove lead investi- gator Police Inspector Keith Arnaud from the murder investigation into the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia. Lawyers Marion Camilleri and Gianluca Caru- ana Curran are appearing for Fenech, while State Attorney Victoria Buttigieg, assisted by Maurizio Cordina, is opposing the request. Daphne Caruana Galizia murder suspect Yor- gen Fenech had filed a constitutional applica- tion which described Arnaud's investigation into Keith Schembri's possible role in Daphne Caruana Galizia's assassination as 'careless, ap- proximative, if not amateurish'. In separate criminal proceedings, Fenech is being charged with being an accomplice in the murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. Yorgen Fenech's name as a potential suspect had been mentioned during meetings in Castille - lead investigator Daphne Caruana Galizia murder Yorgen Fenech NEVILLE Gafà has resigned from the Office of the Prime Minister, sources told MaltaToday. Gafà had previously backed 'continuity candidate' Robert Ab- ela over Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne in the Labour lead- ership race. Fearne had previously sacked him from the Foundation for Medical Services over his al- leged involvement in the medical visas scandal for Libyan patients. Despite his apparent allegiance to Abela, Gafà will no longer oc- cupy a role in the OPM. Gafà was seen entering the Val- letta Palace on Monday to be pres- ent for Abela's swearing in. On Facebook, Gafà has also pledged unwavering loyalty to the former chief of staff Keith Schem- bri, whose house he has been vis- iting frequently since his resigna- tion from the OPM.
