Central body of the solar system (3) PATLYY CLOUDY UV: 2 PATLYY CLOUDY UV: 2 15 0 / 10 0 15 0 / 9 0 FEELS LIKE 130 0 FEELS LIKE14 0 THE Malta Mountain Bike Asso- ciation has announced its calen- dar for the 2020 Cross Country National Point Series which will kick off on Sunday 19th January in Mġarr. The National Point Series will consist of five races spread over the period January – July. Venues for the Series will see riders spoilt for choice with a selection of scenic yet technical locations which include – Ta' Lippija Tower, L-Imbordin, Ħaġar Qim, Majjistral Park and Selmun. The National Point Series is set to welcome the usual posse of riders, the likes of Maurice For- mosa, Brandon Sultana, Etienne Bonello, Patrick Scicluna, Jason Vella, Marie Claire Aquilina as well as a number of riders who have been a regular presence on the previous season's calendar. The Association looks forward also to welcome a good number of young riders in the Junior, U15 and U12 categories. The Association, in its drive to attract more riders to the sport, announced the introduction of the Novice Category. This cate- gory will see entry level partic- ipants race on a shorter route with less aggressive terrain. A Participation Medal will be awarded on completion of at least 3 events from 5 at the end of the series. The National Points Series will once again be sponsored by Trustmoore Corporate Services and supported by H20nly, Mal- ta Nutrition, Powerbar Malta. A meeting for all prospective participants will take place on Friday at 7pm at the premises of the Mosta Cycling Club, 27 Trincetta, Il-Mosta.
