"I'm very excited to be direct- ing Sunrise. It's a script that is entertaining, relevant and hilar- ious, all rolled into one. Every- one is going to be able to relate to one or more of the characters we come across in the story," ex- plains Chiara Hyzler. "It's a pleasure to be working with FM Theatre again, who are always very welcoming and sup- portive in terms of my ideas and concepts, and are very much on the same page when it comes to comedy. Plus, Rebecca is love- ly to work with, bringing great ideas and an open mind into the room, which will help make this production a fantastic and hilar- ious one." Luke Mercieca of FM Theatre Productions agrees. "We're very excited to be working with two of Malta's finest talents. We've wanted Chiara to direct a play for us for some time, and we finally found the perfect script and the perfect actor. Rebecca is probably one of Malta's finest actors – so it really is an honour to work with them both on this gem of a play." Penned by actor, comedian, writer and cartoonist Jessie Cave, who is best known for her role as Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter film series, Sunrise is comic storytelling of the high- est order, as she shares stories about dating again after a com- plex break-up and trying to get her personal life in order, all be- fore her kids wake up. Sunrise has been performed as a live show at Soho Theatre, London, at the Edinburgh Fes- tival Fringe, and on tour around the UK, with critics describing it as 'an exquisite show from one of the more creative minds in comedy today… painfully funny, hilariously sad and makes over- sharing a thing of comic genius.' Tickets for Sunrise are priced at €20 and are very limited, so book yours today via email on fmt- booking@gmail.com or by calling the ticket hotline on 9904 8169. Sunrise by Jessie Cave will be staged by FM Theatre Produc- tions on 14, 15, 16 and 20, 21, 22, 23 February 2020 at The Splen- did, 74 Triq id- Dejqa, Valletta.
