Jackson), who lives with perpetually stoned beach-babe Melanie (Bridget Fonda), teams with his old buddy Louis Gara (Robert De Niro), just released from prison after serving four years for armed robbery. ATF agent Ray Nicolette (Michael Keaton) and cop Mark Dargus (Michael Bowen) busty stewardess Jackie Brown (Pam Grier), who was smuggling mon- ey into the country for Ordell. Ordell springs Jackie, but when middle-aged bail bondsman Max Cherry (Robert Forster) picks her up at the jail, he's attracted to her, and they choose a romantic route with detours. MONDAY Homeland – New Season 8 [Drama Series] 8:50pm on FOX (Channel 302) The final season of 'Home- land' finds Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) recovering from months of brutal confinement in a Russian gulag. Her body is healing, but her memory remains fractured – which is a problem for Saul (Mandy Patinkin), now National Security Advisor to the newly ascendant President Warner (Beau Bridges). The top priority of Warner's young admin- istration is an end to the "forever war" in Afghanistan, and Saul has been dispatched to engage the Taliban in peace negotiations. TUESDAY I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1988) [Film] 8:30pm on AMC Channel (Channel 312) Jack Spade (Keenen Ivory Wayans) comes home to the ghetto and finds his brother dead from a gold chain overdose. With the help of his hero, John Slade (Bernie Casey), and a team of washed-up crime fighters, Spade declares vengeance on Mr. Big (John Vernon), the white crime leader responsible for selling gold chains on the streets. But Spade realizes that he must take matters into his own hands to finish the job in this zany spoof of 1970s blaxploitation films. WEDNESDAY Pretty Little Liars S1 Ep.20: "Someone to Watch Over Me" [Drama Series] 7pm on Melita More (Channel 315) Everyone has a secret in Rose- wood and it's only a matter of time before it is revealed. Four girls know this to be especially true and are reminded of it on a daily basis. As the police turn up the heat and make Spencer an official "person of interest," may- be the girls should take a closer look at those around them. The boy one has given her heart to may have ulterior motives; the girl they have wronged may not be as innocent as they think; and the person another likes may make a rash decision that cuts to the bone. All are things that the girls should take into account. THURSDAY Dracula II: Ascension (2003) [Film] 7:45pm on Melita More (Channel 315) The burned corpse of Dracula (Stephen Billington) is revived by a wheelchair-bound scientist, Lowell (Craig Sheffer), and his devoted students in an effort to cure Lowell of a fatal disease. They chain the demon to a slab at the bottom of an abandoned indoor swimming pool and begin their experiments. But the highly contagious, extremely convincing fiend can create havoc even chained up, as Elizabeth (Diane Neal) and Luke (Jason London) find out the hard way. Luckily, vampire-slaying priest Uffizi ar- rives with his razor-studded whip. FRIDAY Monsters Inside Me [Documentary] 9:30pm on Discovery Science (Channel 402) Some of the most horrifying crea- tures on earth are barely visible to the human eye; this stom- ach-churning series documents what happens when humans fall prey to parasites. Victims, medical staff and experts recount the real-life horror stories of stealthy, cunning creatures taking residence in unsuspecting human hosts and the deadly illnesses that result. SATURDAY See No Evil (2006) [Film] 8:30pm on AMC Channel (Channel 312)) A ragtag group of juvenile delinquents assigned the task of cleaning up an abandoned hotel find out just how deadly community service can be when they are stalked by a monstrous, four-hundred-pound maniac with a grudge. What to watch this week Streaming picks Your guide to the best shows on streaming platforms Uncut Gems Netflix Uncut Gems is a 2019 American crime thriller film directed by Josh and Benny Safdie, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ronald Bronstein. The film stars Adam Sandler, Kevin Garnet t, Lakeith Stanfield, Julia Fox, Idina Menzel, and Eric Bogosian. Sandler plays Howard Ratner, a jeweller and gambling addict in New York Cit y's Diamond District, who must retrieve an expensive gem he purchased to pay of f his debts. Filming took place from September to November 2018. The original score was composed by Daniel Lopatin. The Last Five Years Amazon Prime The Last Five Years is a 2014 American musical romantic comedy- drama film starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan. Based on Jason Robert Brown's musical of the same name, the film is written and directed by Richard Lagravenese. The musical chronicles the romance between Jamie Wellerstein and Cathy Hiatt . It presents their relationship out of chronological order, in a non-linear narrative: Cathy's songs begin after they have separated and move backwards in time to the beginning of their courtship, while Jamie's songs start when they have first met and proceeds through their crumbling marriage.
