Starlites' American import Konor Ku- las was voted BOV Player of the Month Basketball First Division. The 6'7" for- ward averaged 61% during the games and earned 55 points during January. Hibernians' Ashleigh Van Vliet scored 14 points against Luxol and 12 points against Depiro during January. With an average of 81% from the free-throw line (13 of 16) and a total of 44 points, she gained the highest votes in the awards process. Nikola Božović scored 88 points in Jan- uary. The Serbian 6'6 forward scored 10 from 16 from the free-throw line, 27 from 42 from the field and sank 8 treys. Peter Perotti, Chief Officer at Bank of Valletta presented a commemorative plaque to the winners. Bank of Valletta is a major supporter of sports initiatives in Malta and one of the main sponsors of the Malta Basketball Association.
