05.03.2020 TRENDSETTING Freehour, the international successful home-grown app FREEHOUR is the go-to app for all college and university students who want to share their timetable with friends and make stu- dent life more efficient. After downloading, just input or import your timetable schedule into the app and add the friends you'd like to share your timetable schedule. You can then see your friend's full timetable and find out when your friends are free to meet up on campus. FreeHour is currently Malta's largest stu- dent platform for university and college students and recently launched overseas in Italy. It registered 10,000 students in the first week of it's launch. FreeHour boasts many bonus features, including weekly student offers, lecture reminders, assignment and stipend count- downs, and a large list of Student Jobs pro- vided by KeepMePosted. In Malta the app currently covers over 80% of local students, with around 20,000 registered users. To further their success, FreeHour CEO, Zach Ciappara, took home the Best Startup Pitch Award in 2019, where the 20-year-old presented the app, as well as its history and plans for the future to an audience of over 300 people, at the Malta Innovation Sum- mit. FreeHour is one of the few Maltese apps to have launched internationally. Being an entirely home-grown idea that was also developed on in Malta, which places the young startup at the top of their industry.
