He takes a retiring associate (Tom Wilkinson) and a dim-witted sales applicant (Dave Franco) with him. After a year and a half of struggle, a promising deal is in sight – then promptly folds, thanks to Dan's ex-boss. Determined to save the deal, Dan and company fly to Germany, where a series of outrageous obstacles awaits. MONDAY Father Brown [Drama Series] 9pm on BBC Entertainment (Channel 300) Set in the early 1950s, while Brit- ain is still suffering through the af- termath of the Second World War, the local priest at St Mary's Cath- olic Church in fictional Cotswold village Kembleford often finds himself solving the town's biggest crimes. In addition to his typical parish duties, Father Brown uses his love and understanding of other people to ensure justice is served, and the right person held accountable (though in some circumstances, not always to the standard of the law). Assisted by the parish secretary and his own wit and sharp intellect, Father Brown works his way through a series of mishaps and intriguing clues to piece together the truth at every turn. TUESDAY Adventureland (2009) [Film] 8:35pm on AMC Channel (Channel 312) TA dark comedy centering around Barry Egan, the socially impaired owner of a small business-distrib- uting novelty toilet plungers-in the San Fernando Valley. Dominated by seven sisters, and constantly negotiating his own manhood, he is unlikely to find romance unless romance finds him. In an attempt to resolve his loneliness, while having a vulnerable moment, Barry contacts a phone sex operator who, in turn threatens him with blackmail. WEDNESDAY Adventureland (2009) [Film] 9pm on Fine Living Network (Channel 333) This series goes inside actress Patricia Heaton's home as she draws inspiration from her family and serves party-friendly foods to those closest to her. Whether she's celebrating a special occa- sion – such as her 25th anniver- sary with husband David Hunt – or just looking for an excuse to spend time with friends, Heaton is always willing to throw a bash with lots of food. THURSDAY Stumptown Part B [Drama Series] 8pm on FOX Life (Channel 304) Based on the graphic novel series, 'Stumptown' follows Dex Parios (Co- bie Smulders), a strong, assertive and sharp-witted army veteran with a complicated love life, gambling debt and a brother to take care of in Portland, Oregon. Her military intelligence skills make her a great PI, but her unapologetic style puts her in the firing line of hardcore criminals and not quite in alliance with the police. In the first episode following the winter hiatus, Dex is hired by a famous TV judge to help find his prodigal brother but soon finds that she is not the only one looking for him.
