DEVELOPMENT PLANNING FUND PLANNING AUTHORITY Embellishing hometown your Creating better places to live in. During 2019, the Planning Authority, through the Development Planning Fund (DPF), agreed to finance 44 community projects to the sum of 6.4 million. These projects are being carried out by local councils or other non-government organisations for the purpose of improving the quality of life within a locality. Some of the projects include the entire rebuilding of the Siren Waterpolo Pitch in St Paul's Bay, the restoration of old railway embankment structure in Attard and the upgrading of several recreational areas in Malta and Gozo. Through the DPF, the Planning Authority provides 70% of the required funding for long lasting physical intervention projects which will upgrade the amenity and appreciation of the locality.
