14 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 14 JUNE 2020 COMMERCIAL Google for Nonprofits launches in Malta IN response to requests from Nonprofits around the world for access to digital tools to continue operations, maintain productivity, and raise aware- ness, Google has extended the availability of 'Google for Non- profits' to a total of 67 coun- tries, including Malta. With the spread of corona- virus, demand from Nonprof- its for access to 'Google for Nonprofits' has increased to more than 1,000 new account requests per week, as organisa- tions focus on remote working and raising online awareness. Eligible organisations can activate G Suite for Nonprof- its at no cost and collaborate online with apps like Gmail, Docs, and Calendar. In ad- dition, advanced features of Google Meet are available to all editions of G Suite until 30 September, 2020. To help organisations raise awareness online, the Ad Grants Crisis Response Program is extend- ing Ad Grants, up to $10,000 worth of text-based Search ads at no cost through to October 2020. The YouTube Nonprofit Program and Google Earth and Maps also offer nonprofits sto- rytelling tools to amplify their cause. Many nonprofits are also learning how to transition their staff and programs to online-only formats, and with that come challenges around cloud storage, security and vir- tual collaboration. To give nonprofits access to G Suite's advanced features, Google is launching nonprof- it discounts globally for G Suite Business ($4 per user per month, normally offered at $12) and G Suite Enterprise ($8 per user per month, normally offered at $25). As always, G Suite for Non- profits will continue to be offered at no charge G Suite Business for Nonprofits offers 1 TB storage per user, access to Google Vault for data manage- ment, video conferencing for up to 150 people. Along with more security and administrative options. With G Suite Enterprise for Non- profits, organisations have all the features of G Suite Busi- ness and G Suite for Nonprof- its, with the addition of email encryption, live streaming and video conferencing for up to 250 people, as well as Cloud Identity to manage users and apps. Global Payments offers option not to print EPOS receipt FOLLOWING the recent rollout of a new contactless limit of up to €50, local credit card acquirer Global Payments Ltd. has announced a new feature whereby con- sumers are being given the option not to have a printed receipt from the EPOS ter- minal after their purchase. This new feature means that there is less waiting time at the cash point, less contact between cashier and the shop- per, while reducing paper waste. John Borg, Product and Support Man- ager at Global Payments, said: "Given the 'contactless payments' awareness raised during the COVID-19 pandem- ic, we are confident that this new fea- ture will be well received by outlets and shoppers alike. Consumers who still wish to have the receipt, can ask the cashier for it while the latter is still processing the same sales transaction." To find out more about this feature or if interested in starting to accept credit card payments, one can call Global Payments on 2226 5656. Consumers are being given the option not to have a printed receipt from Global Payments terminals after their purchase
