Maltese bread
pudding
Recipe by Daniel Pisani from
marrowhealth.com
• 50g cacao powder
• 50ml date syrup (or any liquid
sweetener)
• 30ml olive oil
• 800ml rice milk
• 2 ripe bananas
• Juice and zest of one orange
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp nutmeg
• Dash of ground clove and all-
spice
WET INGREDIENTS
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix all the wet ingredients in a
blender
2. In a large bowl cut the bread into
small pieces
3. Add the blended liquid ingredients
from step one to the bowl and al-
low the bread to soak up the liquid
for at least one hour
4. In the meantime, combine the
ground flaxseed to the water, after
some time, this combination will
give an egg like consistency
5. Add in the chopped dates, raisins
and almonds
6. Using your hands, combine all the
ingredients and give the mixture
some love!
7. Add the mixture to a baking dish
and sprinkle some more chopped
almonds on top
8. Place the pudding in a preheated
oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 40-
50 minutes
9. Let the pudding cool down for a
couple of hours before serving.

• 9 tbsp water
