maltatoday | SUNDAY • 13 DECEMBER 2020 18 COMMERCIAL Frank Salt publishes his own book "Selling Real Estate" "SELLING Real Estate" is the perfect handbook for all sea- soned property consultants who are passionate about their job or for those who are aspiring to take up a rewarding career in re- al estate. Written by Frank Salt him- self, the book aims to gather together all major traits and at- tributes needed for a real estate agent to do their job ethically well and successfully. Salt, who established Frank Salt Real Estate more than 50 years ago, has long felt the need to have a very simply writ- ten book, highlighting what agents should and should not do throughout the process and towards being successful. He therefore decided to put pen to paper and is very happy that this publication has coincided with the company's recent 50th anniversary. So many points are men- tioned, which if practiced and assimilated in the agents' char- acter, would turn them into an excellent and first-class sales or letting consultant. "I would like to show the reader how important it is to work proper- ly and ethically, whether selling or letting, and to do this by us- ing all the attributes and traits, which when they become part of the agents' character, will make it possible to achieve," Salt said. "It is a very easy book to read and all the descriptions given, make it easy to follow and un- derstand how it can all become part of the agents' character." The book is dedicated to his late wife Monica, who passed on just two months ago. It has been written by a man with over 50 years' experience in the real estate business and who stands behind the most suc- cessful real estate company in Malta. The most important element in the book is to enable the reader to understand what they should do, how to behave to- wards their clients and how to successfully conclude a sale or let by always having very good, honest and ethical behaviour at all times. "To those sporting many years of experience in this field, several things might seem obvious, but in reality, they may be failing to do when dealing with their clients," Salt said. Atlas Insurance awarded Employer of Choice 2020 certificate by Business Leaders Malta ATLAS Insurance has been awarded the prestigious certif- icate of Employer of Choice for 2020 by Business Leaders Mal- ta (BLM), alongside three other companies. The award was granted fol- lowing a rigorous judging pro- cess which assessed the partic- ipating companies' employee engagement and satisfaction efforts. BLM's Employer of Choice Certificate recognises top per- forming companies for their outstanding employee experi- ence and positive work culture and is only awarded to compa- nies who meet the strict bench- mark criteria set by Esprimi's rigorous scientific study Em- ployee's Voice. As part of this process, partic- ipating companies must com- plete a strict research exercise and meet the required high standard in order to achieve the certification. The research assesses and quantifies the atti- tudes and perceptions that em- ployees have of their employers across nine crucial domains. The domains explore various aspects including the level of care, recognition, communi- cation and team cohesiveness, leadership effectiveness, focus on performance management, and commitment to employ- ee development and company culture. "Research across these di- verse facets is crucial for Atlas to achieve its objective of con- tinually improving employee experience and identifying are- as for development and future strategy," said Jackie Attard Montalto, Chief Human Re- sources Officer at Atlas Insur- ance. "In addition to providing a comprehensive snapshot of engagement levels across the company, this data further supports other initiatives in the areas of mental health and em- ployee wellness, both of which are core values behind the At- las Employee Brand," she said. "We are truly honoured to receive this certificate from BLM. We aim to be an employ- er of choice by virtue of the val- ues we uphold and the way we engage as a team at Atlas in our aspiration to delight both our employees and our customers," she added. This year was particular for all of us, in which the pandemic denied us from our daily rou- tine, but made us reflect even more than before. Given the circumstances that we are cur- rently in, this year we wanted to pass the message that we had to change and adjust count- less aspects of our normal; We had to change our lifestyle, we had to start using masks, keep our social distancing, refrain from spending time with our elderlies for their own good, work from home, cancel our vacations, cancel any concerts as well as not organising any Christmas parties. This year's message, even communicated by means of this video, is that something which never chang- es and is always valid regardless of the current situation is re- sponsible driving – don't drink and drive. Transport Malta enforcement, as per previous years, will still be conducting several inspections all around the country in order to ensure that drivers are driving cau- tiously and all drivers and pas- sengers in our country are safe- guarded during these times. The Authority as well as the Council keep striving to convey this knowledge and education.
