maltatoday | SUNDAY • 10 JANUARY 2021 13 COMMERCIAL HSBC Malta Foundation donates €5,000 to Fondazzjoni Sebħ THE HSBC Malta Foundation has donated €5,000 to Fondazz- joni Sebħ to help it provide psy- chological assistance to children and adults recovering from mul- tiple traumas. Such help forms an integral part of an array of services provided by Fondazzjoni Sebħ aimed at establishing a nurtur- ing environment that promotes emotional growth and resil- ience so people can reach their full potential, regardless of the challenges and difficulties they may be facing. Currently, Fondazzjoni Sebħ is offering care to 37 children who live in residential care in a safe, loving and nurturing envi- ronment, and to 7 women and their children in the residential shelter and after care service, for survivors of domestic vio- lence. Yvonne Mallia, Direc- tor of Fondazzjoni Sebħ, said: "The foundation's services rest on three main pillars: children in care services, domestic vio- lence services, and family and community services. Thanks to the HSBC Malta Foundation's help, we can offer extended therapeutic support to people in need of our servic- es." Caroline Buhagiar Klass, Head of Human Resources and Corporate Sustainability at HSBC Malta said, "The HSBC Malta Foundation has placed special importance on support- ing foundations who work on assisting the most vulnerable in our communities. Fondazz- joni Sebħ does amazing work, particularly with children who have suffered a great deal, and we are committed to support- ing this work which will also deliver a broader positive so- cial impact." HSBC Malta Foundation donates €5,000 to Fondazzjoni Sebh JCI Malta raises €6,831 for Foodbank Lifeline Foundation JCI Malta members presenting the donation to the Foodban STARTING in November 2020, JCI Malta ran the "Make a Mir- acle Happen" Christmas cam- paign, in aid of the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation. The cam- paign included videos which showed the donation process, starting from initial donation, through the packing process, until it reaches the person or family in need. The JCI Malta campaign fo- cused on collecting mone- tary donations, to ensure that the Foodbank is supported throughout the whole year, and not just during the Christmas period. Through this campaign JCI Malta managed to collect a total of Eur6,831. Donations were collected via cheque, through the JCI bank account, and through the Zaar crowdfunding platform. JCI Malta would like to thank all benefactors and special thanks go to the following companies for their donations: NDC Media; Alpha Value Management, and Forestals. JCI Malta also donated the sum of Eur4,479 through their Buy a Meal campaign which was held earlier in 2020 at the start of the lockdown.
