Launch of Personalised Zodiac Stamps of the Chinese New Year of the Ox A dispatch for all, the New Year of the Ox has arrived! The CCC has commissioned Malta- post to produce five personal- ised stamps to commemorate the New Year of the Ox. Each individual personalised stamp appropriately contains an artis- tically designed Ox; each stamp brings out the individuality of the different designs, while ex- hibiting the core element - the Ox. These personalised stamps are to be accompanied by five Maltese stamps which togeth- er will form a sheet. This sheet will then be enclosed in a spe- cially designed folder; decorat- ed with a motif consistent with the Chinese New Year festivi- ties. It will also contain a brief summary of the Chinese New Year, and 2021's Zodiac ani- mal: the Ox. These stamps rep- resent the emerging concept of bringing events to the commu- nity in their own homes, and they are a perfect gift to com- memorate the New Year of the Ox. Let us rejoice, winter has come to an end, a new spring has dawned. Those interested in purchas- ing a folder with a sheet of stamps, or an individual sheet may contact the CCC by send- ing an email to maltaccc@ gmail.com Launch of Chinese Cultural Classroom The CCC is creating and com- piling a week-long syllabus for secondary students, in which a Chinese theme will be explored in each of their usual subjects such as Maltese, English, histo- ry, geography, art, home eco- nomics and physical education. The Lantern Festival Chinese Salon Apart from CCC members and Chinese cultural enthusi- asts, everyone is invited to join The Lantern Festival Chinese Salon organised by the Con- fucius Institute and the CCC. This Chinese salon event will be held online to celebrate the Lantern Festival that marks the end of the New Year festivities. The activities will be related to Chinese language and Chinese culture. Through this enter- taining and interactive activi- ty participants will also learn more about China's culture and language.
