maltatoday | SUNDAY • 7 FEBRUARY 2021 12 COMMERCIAL Melita confirms zero impact of Brexit for its mobile customers MELITA Limited has con- firmed that the UK will remain on the list of 'roam like at home' countries for all its mobile cus- tomers, despite the country's de- parture from the EU. This will remain the case for as long as UK operators continue to main- tain current agreements, and no changes are imposed by the EU. As a result, post-paid Endless plan customers can continue to enjoy endless data, calls and SMS, regardless of other Melita services they may or may not be subscribed to, from just €24.99 per month. Melita currently offers three Endless plans each with a dif- ferent maximum mobile in- ternet speed. All three plans, however, include endless data and unlimited calls and SMS in Malta. They also offer endless calls and SMS, together with da- ta bundles, while roaming in the EU and the UK. The three plans are 'Surfer' which offers a maximum mobile internet speed of 3Mbps, 'Streamer' which offers a maximum speed of 20Mbps, and 'Racer' which offers customers the fastest available 4.5G speed in their current location. Customers who subscribe to any of these three plans can also choose from a range of phones, with recent models such as the iP- hone 12 available for a deposit of just €200 with the remaining balance spread out in monthly installments across the dura- tion of the contract. Mireille Muscat, Head of Marketing at Melita, said, "Now that any uncertainty over the impact of Brexit on mobile roaming rates has been completely cleared up, Melita is happy to confirm that the UK will remain a 'roam like at home' country for all our mobile customers. Thanks to our simplified pricing struc- ture customers on our Endless post-paid plan can all enjoy endless calls, data and SMS from €24.99 per month. The only decision customers need to take is on the speed of their mobile internet connection." As third-generation members of the family united behind the long-standing industry lead- er, Ms Attard and Mr Micallef now utilise their years of prac- tical experience at different levels of operations within the Group as well as university educations that have allowed them to merge their academic background and experience to continue building on the work of previous generations to shape the future of Panta. "We both feel proud to have accomplished so much thus far, continually building the brand name that our grandfa- ther and Founder of the Group, Mr Barth Attard, started back in 1960," says Mr Micallef, who is now Chief Commercial Of- ficer for the contracting arm of Panta. The new appointments come as the generations-strong fam- ily business evolves from Panta Lesco into the Panta Group. For more than 50 years, Panta has brought high-quality prod- ucts and innovative technolo- gies applied on both large-scale projects and smaller-scale resi- dential use. "Panta has shaped the building services industry in Malta. Not only was it the first major company of its kind to be successful in the indus- try both in Malta and overseas, but it also pioneered a culture of uncompromised dedication to technical honesty, quality service and expertise," says Ms Attard, Panta's new CEO. "This is why our clients keep return- ing to Panta – and it is what we have kept as our core econom- ic, social and environmental values as we led Panta through a restructuring process that has also served as a growth strategy and brand refresh.'' "The new Panta is more dy- namic, fresh and driven to con- tinually push quality building engineering solutions, wheth- er for your large commercial development or your humble home. We both look forward to spearheading the many ex- citing projects that are on the horizon for Panta," Ms Attard adds.
