This updated app features an improved search function which allows users to look up any transaction on their savings, current or credit card accounts from the last two years. This innovative search functionality also enables users to search for key words, such as a merchant name, amounts in Euro and dates. The app will display all transactions meeting the search criteria. Crawford Prentice, Head of Wealth and Personal Banking at HSBC said, "HSBC Malta's mobile banking app has proved popular with customers not only because of its func- tionality but also the security it offers, thanks to biometric log- on and the use of the latest en- cryption technology. The app has now been updated to offer an even better customer expe- rience which we are confident our customers will appreciate." In addition to the improved search functionality, the new HSBC mobile banking app fea- tures a number of other chang- es. These updates include an improved layout with account balances displayed more prom- inently and the use of green text to list the deposits, thus making it easier for customers to track movements in their accounts. The FHRD's Quality Mark is awarded to those organ- isations which score at least 75 per cent in each of the seven ar- eas assessed. Jacqueline Abela, Head of Human Resources at Melita Limited, said, "Melita strives to create a positive and inclusive environment where all our em- ployees can grow and develop. The FHRD's recognition of our efforts highlights the progress we have made, especially given the very difficult circumstances of the past year. Looking for- ward we will continue to work hard to make Melita a great place to work, grow and suc- ceed." The FHRD Quality Mark certification examines an or- ganisation's HR policies and procedures, recruitment and selection process as well as its compensation, benefits and total reward structure. It also takes into account employment and industrial relations, per- formance management, HR in- formation systems and people development and training. In addition to providing feedback and a score on each area, the FHRD's assessment also high- lights any areas that may still require improvement. More information on the FHRD's Quality Mark certifica- tion is available at http://fhrd. org/hrqmcertificate2020 APS Bank donates funds to 12 NGOs WITH the usual Christmas social events cancelled due to the pandemic, APS Bank chan- nelled some extra funds to 12 NGOs, all worthy charities and organisations in their respective areas. The selected beneficiar- ies were Fondazzjoni Arka, Dar il-Kaptan, Foodbank Lifeline Foundation, Malta Society for the Protection & Care of An- imals, Malta Society of the Blind, Hospice Malta, Down Syndrome Association Malta, Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Malta Heart Foundation, Dar Merhba Bik, Ursuline Sisters and Breast Care Support Group Europa Donna Malta. The choice of or- ganisations was made through a survey at which all Bank staff members were encouraged to vote for their preferred benefi- ciary. Members of staff, includ- ing those on the Social Activ- ities Committee, were invited to present the donations. Ray Bonnici, Chief People Officer at APS Bank commented that, "We looked for ways we could still celebrate Christmas and spread good cheer without meeting socially, and what bet- ter way to do that than to sup- port causes that do so much for our communities."
