MovingAds donates to YMCA Malta for 2020 end of year festivities 2020 was a surreal and unex- pectedly challenging year for all, including advertising organiza- tions like Moving Ads who were amongst those significantly affected by the outbreak of the pandemic, as clients held tight onto their marketing budgets for the year and reprioritised their spend. Despite the fact that most marketing budgets went down to a small percentage of nor- mal spend, Moving Ads strived to help its customers remain present on the Maltese roads throughout the year by offering extensive support to its cus- tomer base. It was thanks to our loyal cus- tomers and our hard working and dedicated staff, that made 2020, all things considered, one to be proud of despite the struggles. As a business we felt privileged to have customers to care for, and our employees showed gratitude to have a job to come to. This led all of us to think of the less fortunate, in particular, those without a roof over their heads, especially in such tough times. Being homeless in Malta is sometimes not visible but this does not make it inexistent. It is in fact a reality and unfortu- nately, numbers are increasing. But thanks to organizations like YMCA who do a sterling job with those in need of a roof over their heads, these people find respite and support. For this reason, it was decid- ed that at the end of 2020 in- stead of the usual end of year festivities and thanking cus- tomers with gifts, Moving Ads, donated to the YMCA to help them in their endeavours to support those less fortunate in such challenging and uncertain times. During a presentation at the YMCA premises Mr. Anthony Camilleri, Chief Executive Of- ficer and National General Sec- retary for YMCA said: "YMCA has received over 1,500 cases in the past two years...this ges- ture by Moving Ads is a clear example of paying it forward to those who are the neediest such as those who ended up without a roof not because they choose to but because of financial dif- ficulties, family disputes, COV- ID-19 hiccups that did not al- low them to cope in life". Moving Ads would like to take this opportunity to thank its customers and staff for making 2020 memorable despite all the heartache Covid-19 brought about and making it possible to help others.
