Carmelo Abela, minister with- in the Office of the Prime Min- ister, confirmed that he was waiting for some final docu- mentation before presenting the proposal. It would then be up to Cabinet to decide if the propos- al is to be pursued further. "If the proposal is given the go-ahead, we will then launch a consultation exercise to get feedback from all social part- ners," he said. "e drawing up and introduction of such a bill is a long, drawn-out process that will involve all interested par- ties."
