maltatoday | SUNDAY • 7 MARCH 2021 6 CULTURE Book review Iben id-Dell Helen Borg Horizons, reprinted 2020 Vol. 1 It was the year 1940. The world was facing one of the worst wars ever experienced in history. In a small rural house, Marija met the love of her life, which kept her story going on for at least 50 years. A quite ordinary and normal life, based on truth; it grows and flourishes through the same heart aches that the main char- acters had to endure. You will experience all of these yourself, and if you allow me, let me hold your hand while leading you through the path I walked along all these years myself. Vol. 2 Years have gone by and Marija goes back to her past. She wished to make up for the mistake she did seven years before. Coura- geously and determined she goes back to where all this had begun. But certain things do not always change to the way we want them. Life has a way to keep go- ing on, whilst we have other plans. Walk with me so we can continue the story to- gether.
