In a report submitted today to the Planning Au- thority, the Environment and Resources Authority, and the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, Ca- copardo highlights the work carried out at the quar- ry. The quarry, operated by Tum Invest Limited, is close to the Ħaġar Qim and Imnajdra megalithic temples in the limits of Qrendi. In addition to listing work being carried out with- out a permit, the report says the quarry has expand- ed horizontally as well as vertically, threatening the aesthetic integrity of the megalithic temples nearby.
